Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views After Voicing Disputed Coronavirus Documentary

The acclaimed actor has provided his narration to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccines and commends former cabinet secretary the political figure.

The Documentary's Provocative Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a well-known publication published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for assertions that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's writing partner, a producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's role in the film.

A Firm Denial

The team of Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against implications that he supports anti-vax beliefs.

"Many understand that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the response explains. "Neeson never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His considerable work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Central Assertions Within the Feature

As presented, the voiceover provided by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "medical science has become dangerously politicised."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Controversy and Recent Issues

The film also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the network for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, the political figure directed the national health agency to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the global health body reiterating no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Advocacy

Differing from the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This marks not the finish of our narrative. Rather, it is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
