Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the controversy from his public comments.

The striker was dropped from a European match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the squad's reaction remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
Jones also noted that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
Their results have been impressive in the period after the initial controversy. Jones believes the forward's comments were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
