An individual of Australian nationality who jumped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been deported and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was given a sentence to more than a week in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities told local media.

The man shoved through camera crews and approached aggressively the actress and singer, who was attending the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

The Court Judge Christopher Goh was cited by a news outlet as saying that Wen was "attention seeking", adding that he was wrong to think he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not spoken about the incident.

The co-star discussed the incident to the press, saying that she "only aimed to verify my co-star was protected."

"I think he had no intention to us danger, but you never know with these incidents, and I sought to ensure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she stated.
